Our despotic Orange King is preaching to world leaders at
the UN in NYC this week (9/23/2019): forget about globalism and embrace “patriotism” (read “Nationalism”).
Stefan Zweig died in 1942 but this quote about life’s “worst poison” from his memoir, The
World of Yesterday is worth repeating:
“I have seen the great mass ideologies grow and spread before my eyes –Fascism in Italy, National Socialism in Germany, Bolshevism in Russia, and above all else that arch-plague nationalism which has poisoned the flower of our European culture.’’
“I have seen the great mass ideologies grow and spread before my eyes –Fascism in Italy, National Socialism in Germany, Bolshevism in Russia, and above all else that arch-plague nationalism which has poisoned the flower of our European culture.’’

Of course the "deplorables" don't like this kind of writing -"hey - we gotta make Amurrica great!!!"
Anyone else frightened these days?
